As for your take “on language,” I’ll say this: you’re no William Safire. How does titling something “In Defense of Banning The DiDi Delgado from Medium for Advocating Violence Against Cops” suggest that it’s something that’s already happened? It’s a proposed course of action that I’m defending and advocating for. What you wrote is sort of like saying that Ta-Nehisi Coates’ “The Case for Reparations” is also a bad title because it’s something that’s already happened. “In Defense of …” and “The Case for …” are pretty much synonymous expressions. They’re advocacy.
