I think we largely agree, and I’m in complete agreement with this passage of yours that I highlighted. My strong impression (where I slightly differ with you) from all the evidence that’s come out is that Kavanaugh did lie about the extent of his drinking and about various yearbook references (like the “Renate Alumnius” reference), but when we’re at the point of examining someone’s high school yearbook as part of a judicial confirmation process, that’s already absurd to such an extent that I’m sure the more important point to make is that NONE of the allegations against Kavanaugh as a teenager, whether true or false, were really relevant to who he is as a 53-year-old man in 2018 (and, therefore, weren’t disqualifying), and I made that point in earlier articles. This one was really more just about the unbalanced perspectives we’re getting from media on both sides of the aisle.
