Let me echo your comments here, in that when I read your critique, what struck me immediately was the measured, thoughtful tone of it. I actually make an effort to do my best to respond even to mindless screeds and insults with reasoned disagreement and try to ignore the vitriol, profanity and labels as much as I can, except insofar as I point them out to explain they’re not helpful. Agreeing with someone is easy, and screaming or cursing at them when you disagree is easy, but what’s hard for many people, especially lately, is expressing thoughtful and articulate disagreement. But you did exactly that, so kudos!
