Medium is becoming an outright hostile environment for anyone who is not on the Alt-Left and deeply wedded to the practice of superficial identity politics. The third-rate political hacks who run this site have utterly betrayed their ostensible mission to create an open, vibrant platform for writers. Instead, they’ve created a repressive, regressive, dank, dark cavern within which the most bellicose, strident voices representing ludicrous viewpoints and outright hostility to anyone who is white, straight, male, cis-gendered, Christian, conservative or even traditional liberal egg each other on and mindlessly curse out and insult anyone who disagrees with them. As I’ve documented, Medium Staff repeatedly and flagrantly violates its own rules and applies double standards to support its favored viewpoints:
Of late, the brazenness with which these bozos have started banning people with whom they happen to disagree has turned Medium from a writing platform into a petulant, intolerant wacko’s editorial page. Great writers who have worked for years to build up a following are being expunged because they simply do not fit into this narrow mold. I would also not be surprised if these clowns weren’t fiddling with their algorithm to limit exposure to our viewpoints. I’ve noticed, for instance, a precipitous dropoff in views of my articles in recent months despite increases in my number of followers.
This whole nation is no longer a level playing field for those who have political views that deviate from the regressive left orthodoxy, and Medium is becoming just a sad, little microcosm of that. The result is that those who have interesting things to say that are out of tune from the tiresome drone of the echo chamber are increasingly tuning out. We’re leaving the repulsive infotainment industry and the Mediums of the world behind because we’re aiming higher, not willing to settle for a low or even a Medium level of discourse.
