David Shuey does what independent journalism should do at its best: demolish mainstream media narratives and introduce ideas, data and arguments that the mainstream media simply misses. His body of work on this issue of racism in policing is a tour de force that represents a major contribution to our understanding of this issue, and it’s an absolute shame that it doesn’t get circulated to every one of these head-in-the-sand mainstream media “journalists” who insist on (often knowingly) peddling misinformation and falsehoods to feed their pre-committed audience the same tired bromides about racist policing that that deceived audience already (falsely) assumes to be true.
