One of the big issues here is also the fact that Medium/Medium Staff continues to let writers abuse the “block” function to make comments disappear. I’ve written about this issue here, but it essentially gives writers the power to make comments that challenge them and get too popular vanish for all practical purposes. It makes no sense to permit that.
