What makes this worse is that the piece advocating punching white cops, which is a plain and unambiguous violation of their rules, has been up without a hitch this whole time, and they’ve simply ignored requests that it be taken down.

I know well from dealing with him in the past that Gerald — who seems to be the one and only support person on Medium — is a total technocrat doofus who is obviously just executing someone else’s marching orders, and that “someone else” is too cowardly to show their face or take responsibility for their actions.

Despite all its attempts at being “different” and at re-inventing itself, Medium has been from the very beginning and continues to be precisely the kind of corrupt faceless organization that gives corporations a bad name.
