That’s exactly right. The real left that used to be the core of the left hardly exists anymore. As I said in some other responses, there are some traditional leftists like Mark Lilla and Jonathan Haidt who have spoken out strongly against identity politics. But for the most part, the alt-left has almost completely taken over.
