You keep repeating the same things without acknowledging what I’m saying and what I’m not saying, and you want to take an extreme position, which is fine, but I don’t agree with you.

The point about invoking Hitler in an argument almost always being a bad idea is that extreme cases, like Hitler, almost always confuse us by throwing off our otherwise sound intuitions. The present case is no exception.

We’re not talking about Hitler here, and we don’t need to do a reductio ad absurdum. We’re talking about a race-baiting idiot trying to use a privately owned platform to advocate violence against police, and that’s going to be 99% of the kinds of instances we’ll see, because for every one Hitler, for whom we might want to make an exception, we’ll have 99 or more instances of intemperate fools advocating violence against cops or Trump or Hillary or blacks or gays or Jews or Muslims, etc., so that our greater interest as a society is to allow these people to say what they want to say but at least not offer them a privately owned megaphone, as it were. Don’t lose sight of that bigger picture.
